Chicken-Mushroom Skewer

Chicken-Mushroom Skewers

A skewer of mushrooms and poultry. All the best the wild has to offer are pierced on just one stick.

One of the simplest recipes in all of Genshin Impact to produce due to how early you learn it, in addition to the ingredients needed to make it. This skewer has actually turned into a staple part of my (LastVanguard’s) weekly diet in terms of the ease of cooking accompanied by how readily available chicken/turkey and mushrooms are for most of us in the Americas.

In this recipe guide, we’ll briefly peruse over the simplified process for making the chicken-mushroom skewer. Kaeya’s favorite recipe – for a reason!

Dishes & Tools

Bamboo skewers

Frying pan
Small sauce pan
Stovetop
Cooking oil brush

Cooking & Preparation

  1. Soak the bamboo skewers in the shallow cooking pan under 2 cups of water for at least 30 minutes, then drain.
  2. Cut the shiitake into quarters and cut the chicken fillets into similarly-sized pieces. Thread the chicken and shiitake onto the skewers.
  3. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and corn starch together in the small sauce pan, and bring to a boil on medium heat using your stovetop. Stir at regular intervals until the sauce thickens, then remove from heat.
  4. Apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the frying pan, and bring it up to medium heat on the stovetop.
  5. Season the skewers with salt and pepper to taste, and cook them in the frying pan until the meat and shiitake is no longer raw, but not too long to the point that the skewer contents completely dry out. Remove from the frying pan once done.
  6. Using your oil brush, distribute the sauce over each skewer and serve.
