Fisherman’s Toast

Fisherman’s Toast

Onion-covered toast. Exudes a wonderful aroma. Are the fish biting for the bait, or is it the toast they’re after?

The staple breakfast diet of young red-clothed girls who go after fish with explosive ordnance, Fisherman’s Toast is one of the earliest recipes you’ll learn in your Genshin Impact journey. It’s extremely simple to make, too, with just a small handful of readily-available ingredients.

In this recipe guide, we’ll take a look at the cast-iron cooking way to start your day with Fisherman’s Toast. The DEF you need, with the flavor you crave!

This recipe is relatively easy to make.

Thick-cut artisan bread
Salted butter
Yellow onion
Italian marinara sauce
Cooking oil

2 slices
1 tbsp
1/2 ea, small
2 tbsp
1/3 tbsp

Dishes & Tools

Large cast-iron frying pan
Table spoon
Medium cutting knife
Cutting board

Cooking & Preparation

  1. Bring your frying pan up to just under medium heat on your stovetop. Add a tbsp of butter to the pan, spreading it around with your spatula as it melts to make sure the pan is evenly covered.
  2. Add both slices of bread to the pan so that they’re both flat-sided against the bottom. Cook for roughly a minute and a half, or until the lower side begins to toast.
  3. Flip both slices of bread, repositioning them so that they’re in a different part of the pan to help them get a bit of butter on the other side. Toast for a minute and a half. Remove the toasted bread from the pan after done.
  4. Cut your onion into strips, then add them to the now-empty frying pan along with 1/3 tbsp of cooking oil. You’ll want to constantly stir them with the spatula – at this heat level, they’ll burn in a matter of seconds if they sit still too long. Cook for a couple minutes until lightly browned.
  5. Using a spoon, apply a thin coat of marinara sauce to the top of your toast, followed by the onions on top.
  6. Serve immediately to avoid the toast getting too soggy from the sauce.
